It’s a better day.
I tried my best this morning to write before leaving the house. I even woke up early around 8am in hopes of redeeming myself from yesterday. I just could not get a hold on anything with my mind shut down and will broken. This time I did a little something and it felt great.
Today the lady I work with and I met at a Party City headquarters. We have been there before and really enjoyed the company and its people. I have yet to meet someone grouchy or snotty. They are all happy and excited. It is actually really cool to see that many people from one building could be so enthusiastic. But before I got there I had to get something in me that would put a smile on my face.

Across the street for the office building is a Dunkin’ Donuts. It is so close that if I really wanted to I could have parked at Party City and just walked over. While at the register the cashier guy let me in on a new item. Something that I never thought would happen but makes sense as far a business tactic. They now sell chicken strips. That is right, chicken strips. I did not try them but I was told they are not that bad. Kudos to Dunkin’ for trying to make a dollar.

Working at the headquarters was great. That was until it started to rain and stop and then return without a warning. Not even the weather person could have predicted this sporadic downpour. Sometimes it would drizzle and out of nowhere just drop buckets of water for all to wear. The good thing about it, the rain was cool and felt amazing.
On to the next.
We finished up around 2:30pm. Leaving the headquarters an hour later to head towards our next location for dinner. It was about 25 minutes away and seemed simple to get to. Within 3 minutes of actually getting there I made a wrong turn on the highway getting rerouted for an extra 10 minutes. I could not believe how close, yet so far I was. I was so confused as to how I ended up in that position. But believe or not everything worked out. I had to sit at so many red lights that I was able to eat my late lunch. I was happy.
Finally, at the location I met up with her. To think I was behind her the whole time until that wrong turn. I am surprised that she never brought it up honestly thinking she would. It seemed me getting lost was not important. What was important, getting everything set up once again for dinner.
For about 2 hours it poured again. Leaving us in doubt of any profitability. But then out of nowhere the skies cleared up, not a single cloud, and the sun was out nice and bright. I do not remember ever experiencing a day like this. From darkness to light, back to darkness to light. I think the heavens were even confused.

The rest of the night we did well. Just a little over lunch making coming out in this crazy weather worth it. After a day like this I was glad to see us in the green. We were worried that we would not be.
Go relax.
10pm. On the way home I could see the sky lighting up as if it were fourth of July again. The rain was coming for its finally show and I knew it would be heavy. Luckily, I made it home in time. Just as I pulled into the driveway it started to drizzle. As I pulled out my house keys it started to pour. Thank goodness we left when we did.
P.S.
Those USB Type-C cables that I ordered the other day, work great!
