Meet Dreamcatcher!

Meet Dreamcatcher.

I am not sure if this lovely horse was a boy or girl but it brought me great joy. For 4 days straight it would greet us from this window. I would anticipate his head poking out every morning. No matter how early it was, this beauty would make waking up at 4:30 in the morning worth it.

Top 5 Subscriptions!

YouTube is one of the largest and busiest video platforms on the web. It consists of millions of videos that can be watched on a phone, tablet, gaming console and computer. With over 400 hours of content being uploaded every minute! You can watch videos on just about anything. Cooking, exercising, car repairs, gardening, gaming, reviews and so much more.

They even have a live TV subscription that allows you to view over 50 popular cable networks (depending on zip code) for a monthly fee. They also have another service called YouTube Red that cuts out the ads from videos and music, allows you to watch and listen offline, and have access to their own movies and series.

I have been using YouTube since its release in 2005 and have yet to be disappointed. My channel subscriptions keep me entertained and provides me with an escape from a busy day. Certain channels keep me encouraged to succeed and I will forever be grateful for the lessons I have learned. I am subscribed to a little over 40 channels but there are five that I visit almost daily and maybe even more than once.

Here are my Top 5 YouTube channels:

  1. DashieGames
  2. CrazyRussianHacker
  3. DavidSoComedy
  4. Joe Santagato
  5. Unbox Therapy

You have probably heard, watched and subscribed to them but if not, check them out. Clickety Click!

What do you like to watch? Do you own a channel of your own? And what is it?

Successful Monday!

March 5, 2018

I tried to get up early today. I opened my eyes around 7:30am but then closed them until 8. I am glad that my internal alarm went off. I set the wrong alarm on last night. I have two preset times for each thing throughout the week. Two alarms for office conference calls, work, and trainings. I definitely did not turn on the work alarm!

I left my house a little after 9:15. Headed to Teixeira’s Bakery and waited in line to order. I was there for a dozen of custard cups, a dozen hoagie rolls, a strawberry croissant, and two cappuccinos. Typically my Monday order except for the croissant and cappuccinos. I was in the mood for a good cap and was thoughtful enough to get one for a friend. This bakery serves one of the best cappuccinos I have ever had and was hoked since day one.

I got in to Jersey City at 10:40. Traffic was light today so it was a smooth drive. I also started to listen to an audiobook from John C. Maxwell called Failing Forward. It is a fantastic book. (I might actually pick up a hard cover copy just to add to my collection.) While I was parking I got in to a small disagreement. Communication was not clear on either end but it was dissolved very well and I was happy about that. The day continued!

Work was done early today. I was home by 3:45pm. I could have been home sooner but traffic was a nightmare. Parents are trying to get to their children, workers are trying to get to their night jobs, and then the lucky few like me trying to get home. The good thing about being in traffic was being able to listen to more of the audiobook.

I was so tired after working that I could have passed out and woken up the next morning. “Tonight I go into the office, I must fight the sleep.” I thought to myself.  It was rough. Especially after having a warm hot shower running on my body. It left me a state of Zen that I did not want to leave.

After I showered up, I had a small plate of food to energize myself. Then on the road to the office.

Got back home around 9:45pm. I was not the last one out the office today but close to it. It was such a cold night. The heat in my car could not even warm up fast enough. It took a few minutes of driving before I started to thaw out. Now that I am home it feels really good to change into a pair of cozy pajamas. Fleece pants and a sweatshirt to be exact.

To end my night, I had White Castle for dinner. I ate a chicken sandwich (no cheese), chicken rings, and a side of fries. I loaded up Twitch on the iPad and sat in front of my TV with the PS4 controller in my hand.

See you in the morning!

1st of the month!

March 1, 2018

It is 7:30 am. One of the days this week that I will be babysitting my nephew. I set the bed up almost in the form of a bassinet using my fleece blankets. He is at the point in his life where he figured out how to roll so I make sure the blanket walls are reinforced with pillows for safety. While I wait for him, I wash up and get ready to begin my day. It is the first of the month and the last thing I want to do is start it off without being somewhat productive. So, I sit down in front of my monitor to check my emails, revise my post, and publish on WordPress

My nephew is dropped off about a half hour later. Asleep. This is good because while he sleeps I can continue to explore WordPress. Before I fully dive in, I head to the kitchen to make myself some coffee. Once the coffee is nice and hot I sit down and start to ‘Discover’. There are many different and unique bloggers here. I have read all kinds of posts from poetry to cooking. My favorite option is the ‘Tags’. I have four tags that I am really in to right now; food, motivation, journal, and travel.

Around noon I decide to take a break. My nephew is up and ready to play. After a playful workout we realize that it is time to eat. I serve him a nice tall bottle of formula and make myself a delicious tropical smoothie. It had frozen pineapples, raspberries, mangos, fresh strawberries, kiwi and coconut water. It was amazing!

After he drank his bottle he went back to sleep. 4-month old and their naps, right? While he slept I called a few dentists. I have been searching for one for a few days but with work had not really put in too much effort. But today I am off from work, baby is a sleep so time to get serious. After a few nos and maybes I finally found one that accepts my insurance. Thanks mom. Ironically it is in the same building where my old dentist was. Funny right!

With everything done it is time for some personal enjoyment. Today my girlfriend and I decide to have date night. She figured since I was home all day with the baby it would be a good idea to get out. I agreed. So around 6pm I got ready for dinner. Out the door by 7:15 and on my way to get her. Along the way I stop to get gas, very important, and pass by my grandmother’s house to check the mailbox. I get to her house, she gets in and we decide to go to The Cheesecake Factory. My girlfriend received a gift card to eat there during Christmas that we have been talking about using so we finally did. She ordered wonderfully presented Avocado Toast and I went with the Cajun Chicken Littles with a side a mashed potatoes and Fresh Corn Succotash. For dessert we shared a slice of Lemon Raspberry Cream Cheesecake that we were to full to even finish. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for the treat!
