Chiropractor, River Breeze & Emotions!

Mon. July 16, 2018

8:30am. I rolled out of bed not wanting to.

I was able to get a great amount of sleep last night to this morning. It was a complete 8 hours not short changing a single minute. If it were not for the fact that I needed to get adjusted, I would have stayed sleeping. If I could have stayed under the sheets for another few hours I would have without even trying.

Today is Monday and I had an appointment set with my chiropractor for 10am. Monthly I go in for what they call ‘maintenance.’ Ever since my back injury I have not missed a session even if I had to reschedule it a couple of times. Getting worked on helps more than ton to loosen up body from stiffening up. Sometimes I get to the to the point where it actually hurts to move.

At the chiropractor’s office I greet those who I know and everyone else I do not. NJ Spine and Wellness has been supportive throughout my journey and continue to now. The care they provide is amazing. I actually look forward to seeing my doctor because I know what to expect. Great conversations, heat and stim, maybe a massage if I need it, and then some cracking to top things off. It makes a huge difference in my life. I appreciate him more than he would ever know.

Feeling amazing!

I went straight to my computer the moment I walked through the house doors. I have missed it so much since I have not been home. It is like leaving a puppy in its bed and coming back to joy. Just puts a smile on your face. I got a few things done and then relaxed in front of the TV watching “Supernatural” as I had breakfast.

Around 2pm I had to cut the fun short. I had to be at work by 3:30pm so I got ready to head out. Before leaving I had to poured oil in my car. I have been doing a lot of driving lately neglecting my duties as a car owner. It was empty. The last thing I want to do is kill my car because I could not handle a simple task. Finally filled up I made my way towards Hoboken. Along the way I was asked to pick up hoagie rolls from the bakery before headed over. We were doing the pier tonight and needed to restock on one of the ‘fan favorites.’

My bakery trip was quicker than expected.

I was in Hoboken parking my car by 2:50pm. Since I had a little more than a half an hour to spare I walked across the street to Starbucks. It was hot day and could really use an iced beverage. I got a strawberry acai refreshers. It was pretty good except for it being a bit too sweet. I really enjoyed the strawberry slices they drop into it. To pair with the drink I ordered a slice of pumpkin bread.

With my snack and drink in hand in walked over a little park in front of the pier and sat on a bench in a shaded area under a nice big tree. Being covered by the branches made the day so much better. I was able to fully enjoy the Hudson River breeze that felt amazing. Unfortunately, I could not enjoy it for too long.

The lady I work with showed up 10 minutes later. I could see her truck from over the hedges that surrounded the park. It was time to get to work.

Not so happy.

She was having a rough day. Her and her son had a small dispute last night that left her emotionally drained. From what she told me, her some is lost in his feelings and confused about many things. Most of which hurt her and brought worry. They made up in the end but after many tears were shed. Hopefully he has a bit more understanding now.

Apart from her mood the day was consistent. It was not over barring or slow. We had small minute gaps for drinking water and nothing more. By 8:45pm everything started to die down. I was cleaning in up by the time 9:30 came around so we would have less to do during closing. The quicker we could leave, the quicker she could get home.

Soon after, we were closing the window. No one was around except for a few people on the pier having their adult beverages. They were done with us and more excited for what was in their cups.

Good night!

I do not remember what time we left but I was home by 12:35am in the shower waiting for my body to move off of the toilet. I was comfortable sitting there catching up with my phone.
