It is 7:30 am. One of the days this week that I will be babysitting my nephew. I set the bed up almost in the form of a bassinet using my fleece blankets. He is at the point in his life where he figured out how to roll so I make sure the blanket walls are reinforced with pillows for safety. While I wait for him, I wash up and get ready to begin my day. It is the first of the month and the last thing I want to do is start it off without being somewhat productive. So, I sit down in front of my monitor to check my emails, revise my post, and publish on WordPress.
My nephew is dropped off about a half hour later. Asleep. This is good because while he sleeps I can continue to explore WordPress. Before I fully dive in, I head to the kitchen to make myself some coffee. Once the coffee is nice and hot I sit down and start to ‘Discover’. There are many different and unique bloggers here. I have read all kinds of posts from poetry to cooking. My favorite option is the ‘Tags’. I have four tags that I am really in to right now; food, motivation, journal, and travel.
Around noon I decide to take a break. My nephew is up and ready to play. After a playful workout we realize that it is time to eat. I serve him a nice tall bottle of formula and make myself a delicious tropical smoothie. It had frozen pineapples, raspberries, mangos, fresh strawberries, kiwi and coconut water. It was amazing!
After he drank his bottle he went back to sleep. 4-month old and their naps, right? While he slept I called a few dentists. I have been searching for one for a few days but with work had not really put in too much effort. But today I am off from work, baby is a sleep so time to get serious. After a few nos and maybes I finally found one that accepts my insurance. Thanks mom. Ironically it is in the same building where my old dentist was. Funny right!
With everything done it is time for some personal enjoyment. Today my girlfriend and I decide to have date night. She figured since I was home all day with the baby it would be a good idea to get out. I agreed. So around 6pm I got ready for dinner. Out the door by 7:15 and on my way to get her. Along the way I stop to get gas, very important, and pass by my grandmother’s house to check the mailbox. I get to her house, she gets in and we decide to go to The Cheesecake Factory. My girlfriend received a gift card to eat there during Christmas that we have been talking about using so we finally did. She ordered wonderfully presented Avocado Toast and I went with the Cajun Chicken Littles with a side a mashed potatoes and Fresh Corn Succotash. For dessert we shared a slice of Lemon Raspberry Cream Cheesecake that we were to full to even finish. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for the treat!
